The North Valley Health Education Foundation (NVHEF) provides scholarships to students pursuing healthcare careers who are committed to serving Northern California communities. Our focus is on strengthening the regional healthcare workforce by supporting students in medical, nursing, and allied health programs.
Each year, NVHEF awards $20,000–$30,000 in healthcare scholarships to students enrolled in accredited programs who demonstrate academic commitment, community connection, and a passion for healthcare service.

This application is for students pursuing Advanced Practice degrees (NP, PA, PT, Dietetics, Pharmacy) or attending medical school.
Eligibility
These scholarships support graduate-level students preparing for advanced clinical roles who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and a strong commitment to serving Northern California communities.
Applicants must meet the criteria for one of the following award categories:
Advanced Practice Scholarship
For students enrolled in or accepted into one of the following graduate-level programs:
Medical School Scholarship
For students enrolled in medical school (MD or DO).
Regional Preference
Preference is given to applicants who graduated from a high school in one of the following Northern California counties:

This application is for students who are graduating high school seniors that currently volunteer at Enloe Health and are considering a medical career.
Eligibility
These scholarships support students preparing for careers in healthcare who demonstrate academic commitment, financial need, and a desire to serve Northern California communities.

Enloe Junior Volunteer Scholarship
For high school seniors graduating in Spring 2026
Must be a current Enloe Medical Center Junior Volunteer in good standing
Must be enrolling in a qualifying health-related undergraduate program for Fall 2026

This application is for current Enloe Health employees seeking scholarship support for education or training that advances their role in healthcare.
Eligibility
These scholarships assist Enloe Health caregivers who are pursuing degree programs, certifications, or continuing education that strengthens their ability to contribute to patient care and the Northern California healthcare workforce.

NVHEF scholarships are available to students pursuing education in healthcare and medical-related fields, including but not limited to:
Students may be enrolled at community colleges, four-year universities, or graduate programs. We welcome applications from students studying at institutions outside the region when there is a clear intention to return to practice in Northern California’s North Valley.

Scholarship applications are open January 1 of each year.
All applications are submitted through our online scholarship platform. Applicants will be asked to create an online account to complete and manage their application.
Interviews for most scholarship opportunities are scheduled during mid to late May.
